Companion Care Through Kindred Crossing
SUPPORT FOR CHANGING NEEDS, TRANSITION, GRIEF, AND REMEMBRANCE
Kindred Crossing offers thoughtful support through aging, transition, grief, and remembrance, helping you feel more informed, witnessed, and less alone.
The relationships we share with our animal companions are among life’s deepest connections.
They walk beside us through life’s milestones, quiet moments, celebrations, and heartbreak.
When a companion’s needs begin to change, it is natural to have questions. Kindred Crossing offers thoughtful support through aging, transition, grief, and remembrance, helping you feel more informed, witnessed, and less alone.
ways kindred crossing can support you
COMPANION ANIMAL TRANSITION SUPPORT
Gentle, grounded support as your companion’s needs change or they begin transitioning.
Together, we can make space for quality-of-life reflection, practical planning, questions for your veterinary team, and the emotional considerations that arise before, during, and after a companion’s transition.
When meaningful to you, our conversations may also explore remembrance, personal ritual, or ceremony.
Kindred Crossing does not provide medical advice or replace veterinary care.
BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT
Grief does not follow a timeline.
Whether you are anticipating a loss or grieving a companion who has already transitioned, this support offers a compassionate place to speak openly, share your story, and honor the relationship you continue to carry.
Your bond mattered. Your grief deserves to be acknowledged, witnessed, and supported.
Grief can feel deeply personal, but it does not have to be carried in isolation.
Grief-tending circles offer small, supportive gatherings for reflection, remembrance, listening, and connection with others who understand the depth of animal-companion loss.

ADDITIONAL WAYS I CAN SUPPORT YOU AND YOUR COMPANION
CELEBRATION OF LIFE CEREMONIES
Every relationship is unique, and every companion deserves to be honored in a way that feels meaningful.
Together, we can create a personalized ceremony with space for remembrance, reflection, gratitude, and the love you continue to carry.
QUALITY-OF-LIFE CONVERSATIONS & PRACTICAL PLANNING
Sometimes families simply need a calm place to ask questions and organize what they are noticing.
We can talk through your companion’s changing needs, explore quality-of-life considerations, and prepare questions for your veterinary team. These conversations are intended to support thoughtful planning before a crisis demands it.
REMEMBRANCE PHOTOGRAPHY
Photographs can preserve the familiar expressions, details, and quiet moments that make your relationship unique.
Gentle, documentary-style photography offers a meaningful way to honor your companion and preserve memories before or during their transition.
How will I know when it’s time?
One question I’ve heard again and again is, “How will I know when it’s time?” There is rarely one defining moment. More often, changes happen gradually, making it difficult to know what you are seeing or when to begin important conversations with your veterinarian.
That is why I created the Kindred Crossing Companion Animal Quality of Life Calendar. It offers a gentle way to track daily experiences, notice patterns, organize your observations, and feel more prepared for the conversations ahead.
Kindred Crossing brings together trusted resources, compassionate guidance, and support for every stage of your companion’s life.

“Gabby’s kindness and compassion are what set her apart. What started as a grooming relationship has grown into a genuine friendship, and she feels like part of our family. She has a special way of making both people and their dogs feel seen, cared for, and supported. There truly is no one better.”
What Makes kindred crossing Different?
Companion care isn’t just about one moment. It encompasses the entire relationship you share with your pet. From everyday wellbeing and healthy aging to difficult decisions and grief.
While grooming supports your dog’s physical wellbeing, companion care recognizes that emotional wellbeing, changing needs, family dynamics, and quality of life are equally important.
My role isn’t to replace your veterinarian. It’s to offer education, practical support, compassionate listening, and guidance in moments that don’t always have a medical answer.
This support complements your existing care team by offering education, practical resources, compassionate listening, and guidance to help you make informed decisions with greater confidence.
Please note that I am not a health practitioner or therapist, so this does not replace any professional medical or psychotherapeutic diagnosis or treatment.
My Philosophy
I believe every animal deserves to be treated with dignity throughout their entire life.
Care doesn’t begin or end with a grooming appointment or a single difficult day. It lives in the everyday moments: learning to adapt, making thoughtful decisions, celebrating joyful seasons, and finding support when life becomes uncertain.
Kindred Crossing was created from that belief: that every companion, and every person who loves them, deserves compassionate support through every season of life.
A Gentle Reminder
You don’t have to wait until you’re in crisis to reach out.
Many families find comfort in having conversations early, learning about available resources, and building a support system before it’s urgently needed.
Whether your companion is a playful puppy, a beloved senior, or somewhere in between, I’m here to meet you where you are.
